I am a Yorkshire based visual artist, working primarily in textiles and stitch. My work combines my skills as a feltmaker with free motion embroidery, hand stitch, illustration and printmaking. Alongside my exhibition work, I also have a commercial practice, selling my work in galleries and events around the UK and online. I have had work commissioned for organisations and private collections
In 2019 I spent six months as resident artist at Leeds Industrial Museum creating work for my solo exhibition, The Doffer and the Fancy: Reimagining the Machine which was shown in the museum from July to December 2019. The exhibition was supported by Leeds Museums and Galleries and The Art House Wakefield and formed part of INDEX, a festival of events curated to coincide with Yorkshire Sculpture International.
I am a qualified teacher, devising and delivering adult workshops for the Royal Horticultural Society, The National Trust, The Art House and The Hepworth Wakefield.
I have a studio at The Art House in Wakefield. From 2012-2014 I completed a City and Guilds Certificate in Feltmaking and was awarded the 2014 City and Guilds Medal for Excellence in Constructed Textiles
